Booking a taxi to Heathrow Terminal 4

A pre-booked taxi to T4 drops you at the Terminal 4 departures forecourt, accessed via the up-ramp from Stratford Road to three drop-off lanes. Your driver pulls into the kerbside lane, you unload, and they pull away within Heathrow's 10-minute forecourt limit.

How to find Terminal 4 by road

T4 sits on the Southern Perimeter Road, south of the southern runway which is physically separate from the T2/T3/T5 cluster on the north side.

From the M25, exit at Junction 14 and follow signs for Terminal 4 along the A3113 Airport Way, then onto Southern Perimeter Road. From the M4, exit at Junction 4b and take the M25 south to Junction 14. Postcode for satnav: TW6 3XA.

Drop-off at Terminal 4 — what's included

Every pre-booked fare to T4 includes:

  • The £7 Heathrow terminal drop-off charge (raised 1 January 2026)
  • Driver unloading your luggage at the three-lane forecourt
  • Confirmation of which check-in zone matches your airline

Your driver knows which forecourt lane to use to keep the drop within Heathrow's 10-minute stay limit. No circling, no overstay penalty.

When to leave for T4

For short-haul departures (Air France to Paris CDG, KLM to Amsterdam, Vueling to Barcelona), leave home 2.5 hours before your flight. For long-haul (Qatar Airways to Doha, Etihad to Abu Dhabi, Saudia to Riyadh, Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur, Korean Air to Seoul), allow 3.5 hours.
We schedule your pickup backwards from your check-in deadline, factoring in the M25 anti-clockwise stretch and the A3113 approach both of which can slow down between 7–9am and 3–6pm.

Taxi from Heathrow Terminal 4

Heathrow does not allow private hire pickups on the T4 forecourt as this area is drop-off only. Every taxi collects from the Terminal 4 Terminal Parking (formerly Short Stay) car park, located directly opposite the terminal building.

Where to walk after you land

Clear immigration, collect your luggage and follow signs from T4 arrivals to Terminal Parking (also signposted as Short Stay) — postcode TW6 3YD. The car park sits directly opposite the terminal, around a 2-minute walk across the connecting walkway.
Your driver waits free of charge at Heathrow's Authorised Vehicle Area on Northern Perimeter Road until you call. From there, they cross the airport to the south side, enter T4 Terminal Parking, and meet you at an agreed level and bay.

How to reach your driver without UK roaming

Heathrow's free _Heathrow Wi-Fi covers all four terminals. Connect as soon as you land at T4, register with your email, and keep WhatsApp open.
Your driver can call or WhatsApp you over WiFi at no charge. They will tell you the exact level and bay in T4 Terminal Parking to meet at as it varies depending on availability on the day.

Free 45-minute waiting time after landing

The clock starts when your flight touches down at T4 — not when you booked. You have 45 minutes free to clear Border Force, collect bags and walk to the pickup point.
The T4 Terminal Parking fee is already in your fixed quote. So is the £7 drop-off charge if your return leg also uses Heathrow.

Prefer meet & greet at T4 arrivals?

Add meet & greet at the booking stage. Your driver parks in T4 Terminal Parking, walks into the T4 arrivals hall, and waits with a name board from the moment you land.
Particularly useful for long-haul arrivals on Qatar Airways from Doha, Etihad from Abu Dhabi, Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur, or Korean Air from Seoul — many of which land at T4 in the early morning or late evening.
For the standard pickup process across the whole airport, see our Heathrow airport pickup guide.

Why fares from the South and South-West suit T4

T4 sits on the southern side of the airport, reached via M25 Junction 14 and the A3113 — not through the Heathrow tunnel. That makes T4 the most convenient terminal for journeys from the south (Guildford, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Bournemouth) and the south-west (Bath, Bristol, the Cotswolds).
For these origin areas, the M25 anti-clockwise approach into J14 typically saves 10–15 minutes versus driving on to the central tunnel for T2 or T3.
