Booked 12 hrs prior to needing the taxi, requested two car seats on online form and double checked quickly via email. The taxi was really easy to find and on time, the car was super clean and the car seats were for the correct ages, clean and ready to use. Booking a taxi to Heathrow Terminal 5

A pre-booked taxi to T5 drops you at the Terminal 5 departures forecourt on the upper level of the terminal building. Your driver pulls into the kerbside drop-off zone, you unload, and they pull away within Heathrow's 10-minute forecourt limit.

How to find Terminal 5 by road

T5 is on the Western Perimeter Road with its own dedicated spur. From the M25, exit at Junction 14 and follow signs for Terminal 5. From the M4, exit at Junction 4b, join the M25 south, then exit at Junction 14.
T5 sits separately from T2, T3 and T4 — you do not pass through the Heathrow tunnel. Postcode for satnav: TW6 2GA.

When to leave for T5

For BA short-haul departures from T5, leave home 2.5 hours before your flight. For long-haul (BA's premium hub for JFK, Singapore, Cape Town, Hong Kong and Dubai), allow 3.5 hours. Add buffer for the M25 anti-clockwise stretch between 7 to 9am and 3 to 6pm.
We schedule your pickup backwards from your check-in deadline, factoring in your origin postcode and the time of day.

Taxi from Heathrow Terminal 5

Heathrow does not allow private hire pickups on the T5 forecourt — that area is drop-off only. Every taxi collects from the Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park (formerly Short Stay) attached to the arrivals building.

Where to walk after you land

Clear immigration, collect your luggage and follow signs from T5 arrivals to Terminal Parking (also signposted as Short Stay). The walk is around 2 minutes along a covered route. Your driver waits free of charge at Heathrow's Authorised Vehicle Area on Northern Perimeter Road until you call. Once you're heading out, they enter T5 Terminal Parking and meet you at an agreed level and bay.

How to reach your driver without UK roaming

Heathrow offers free WiFi across all four terminals, including T5. Connect to _Heathrow Wi-Fi as soon as you land, register with your email, and keep WhatsApp open.
Your driver can call or WhatsApp you over WiFi at no charge. They will tell you the exact level and bay in T5 Terminal Parking to meet at. It varies depending on car park availability on the day.

Free 45-minute waiting time after landing

The clock starts when your flight touches down at T5, not when you booked. You have 45 minutes free to clear Border Force, collect bags from the carousel and walk to the pickup point. The T5 Terminal Parking fee is already in your fixed quote. So is the £7 drop-off charge if your return leg also uses Heathrow.

Prefer meet & greet at T5 arrivals?

Add meet & greet at the booking stage. Your driver parks in T5 Terminal Parking, walks into the T5 arrivals hall, and waits with a name board from the moment you land. Helpful if you're arriving on a long-haul BA flight at 6am, or with elderly relatives, unaccompanied children or excess luggage from an Iberia connection.

Why fares to T5 may differ slightly from T2 or T3

T5 sits on the Western Perimeter Road with its own M25 J14 spur. Most origin cities, including all five above, reach T5 by the same route they would T2 or T3, so the fare is the same.
The exception is journeys from the south or south-west, where T5's spur road saves a few miles over the Heathrow tunnel approach to T2 / T3.
